tie-ups to report for those continuing northbound 29 here at university boulevard. we had the road completely blocked here. police are still on the scene of this accident which is right on the northbound side of the highway. traffic coming northbound on colesville road is forced to exit there at university boulevard. coming southbound in the direction of the beltway, you are able to get through under police direction but again, delays are starting to formerly this morning trying to make your way through four corners southbound along 29 colesville road. if you are traveling in virginia, 395 northbound leaving duke street continuing up towards seminary road. all lane are open. earlier disabled vehicle that we had in the roadway has cleared. kenilworth avenue still blocked off because of emergency roadwork. that's a check of your fox 5 on-time traffic. our top story this morning, as police piece together clues in the murder of a d.c. principal, his staff and

students go back to work today. >> a coworker went to brian betts' home last week when he didn't show up for work. they found he had been shot to death. michelle rhee recruited him to take over the consolidated shaw and garnet middle schools. students say his murder leaves an unimaginable void. >> he has always helped us with our grades, always been around happy. and for something like this to happen out of nowhere. >> my staff would come back from a visit at the school and say that place is alive. the kids love being there. the adults love being there. it is such a positive place to be and that is a huge testament to the work that he did. >> still no word this morning on suspects or a motive in the killing. a frostburg state university student was killed over the weekend. it happened early saturday morning at an off-campus party. police say brandon carroll was killed when tyrone hall shot into a crowd that had confronted hall after he

allegedly assaulted a woman. one other student was shot. yesterday, friends gathered for a vigil at carroll's old high school in waldorf where he was a star basketball player. >> very upset. couldn't believe it. i'm still in the state of shock. i didn't ever think it would be brandon. i still don't believe it. >> for the whole waldorf community, it is really sad how it is. word kind of spread pretty quickly with one of your own that no longer here and i just think it is kind of difficult for everyone. couldn't imagine what the family is going through. >> another student would was shot is expected to recover. a college student from front royal virginia was shot and killed near texas southern university in houston. 18-year-old joshua mcmacel was at a party early set morning when shots were fired into a crowd. no arrests were made in that case. dr. dorothy hite still listed in serious but stable condition at howard university hospital. doctors say she is admit in late march after friends say

proof that logos do have a lot of impact even on the young, the very young. researchers in australia studieded a group of nearly 40 children between the ages of three and five, children that could not read but were able to match up logos and their brands. specifically, mcdonald's, disney and toyota were especially recognizable. wall street giant goldman sachs is getting called out by the sec for what it says is fraud. adam shapiro with fox business

network is live in new york with our business beat. goldman sachs is supposed to report earnings. tell me in plain english what the sec is charges goldman sachs with. >> that is a great question because it can get real complicated if you use wall street terminology but in reality, it is very simple. good old-fashioned nasty and horrible fraud. lets a say i come to you and i say build me a house but i am going to give you all of the materials to build that house and they will be explosive, inflammable and guarantee to burn down one month after you finish building the house and sell it to somebody p i want you to sell the house with the bad materials to everyone without it would being them i provide the the nasty materials and two that i have purchased insurance that the house will burn down and i will collect when it does. that in a nutshell is what goldman is accused of doing.

there is nothing also illegal by goldman also buying insurance that the house will burn down. what the se cri. says is potentially fraud is they didn't tell the buyer of the house or the collateralized debt obligation that the stuff was going to blow up and burn down. >> so when goldman reports earnings tomorrow, what is it hoping to gain from that to counter these charges? >> well, what unvastors will be looking for in the earning report is more aggressive language that goldman will fight this thing in court. usually, these kinds of things get settled outside of court so that you and i and the rest of the world can't see what is going on. another problem facing goldman is they're expected to pay about $5.8 bill wrong in bonn uses to employees this week and this will just give people in washington something to rally about. a lot of what you saw on friday were the charges against goldman were somewhat political

travel north from the beltway headed out towards university boulevard. coming unbound on 66, volumes increasing. we are slowing out of manassas traveling between the two 234 interchanges. traffic flows again after nutley treat to the beltway. police searching for a suspect in a hit and run that happened just after 2:00 sunday morning at the intersection of indian head highway and talbert drive in oxon hill. police found a 29-year-old woman unconscious an suffering from multiple injuries. she was tone taken to a local hospital and last listed in critical condition. our top story, grieving students in northwest d.c. heading back to school without their leader this morning. >> somebody murdered shaw middle school convince pal brian betts last week and this morning, there is no word on any arrests or even possible suspects. stacy cohan is live at the school for you with more. >> reporter: by allths, brian betts had a major impact on

shaw middle school students. they loved him. he had been recruited by schools chancellor michelle rhee and in his short amount of time, he had apparently done a lot of good things for the students. can you see at the entrances, chalk drawn on the doors, expresses of regret for his murder saying you will be missed. now, brian betts was found murdered inside his silver spring home on thursday night. he was the victim of at least one gunshot wound. montgomery county police are still searching for suspects. they did manage to refer a clue over the weekend. his nissan suv was located in southeast washington and is now in evidence in montgomery county. so far, no word on a mo suspect. we did peek to some students as well as the schools chancellor who talked about the impact betts had here in that short amount of time. >> he has always helped us with our grades and always been around happy and for something like this to happen out of nowhere. >> my staff would come back

replaced, there was a lot of stuff on the internet. my mother called me and said i fwoogled you and said can you call the internet and tell them to take you off the internet. i couldn't do that. what can people do if there is stuff about you on the internet. >> your mother has your back on the reputation. that is an example and a lot of people feel that way about their kids who are either applying for college or going into the work force. you mentioned the term digital dirt or just not liking what you see. it is reputation management. you have to think of it that way. plus, traditionally, there is not many forums where you would have your boss and your former college roommate all in the same group. people are mixing things that they haven't mixed before. you are in charge. you have to think of it almost as your credit score for the 21st century f you don't like what you see, you have a couple of different choices. you can contact the sites and try to have the bad stuff taken down. the key to doing that is to use

the language in their privacy policy. defamation of character, use it word for word. that is something that gets their attention and makes them say it is against our policy, we'll take it down for you. the other thing to do is bury it. meaning what is the good stuff you want out there. open your own web site. comment because the more good stuff you have that rises to the top, the more you can kind bury the bad and the bottom line is if it is not on the front page of google, it drops off in terms of the number of people would will see it. >> i hear ads now for things like my reputation.com which tells you that they'll help you clean up that image out there. are these web sites legit? do they work and does it cost you money? >> it does. my reputation.com, i've spoke within them. he do charge a fee of about $10 a month. they do this leg work for you. they contact the sites and ask if the information to be taken down. they are using the language in the privacy policy. they will give awe monthly audit of here is what it looks

like. here is what your reputation looks like. we found these photos and posts. can you do that as well. if you want to stay on top of it, you can sign for google alerts. you can type if your name or your child's name or if you are running a small business and you want to keep tabs on it, can you type in the name your small business. you will get e-mails daily saying this was just added. they will provide that report for you and the other thing they will counsel you is to make sure you have some good stuff out there as well. the bottom line is these web sites are legit but we can do the stuff ourselves without having to pay for it. >> if you have a big problem on your hands, i've talked to some people would ran a business and they felt like the slanderous things got out there, they found it invaluable to go with these sites. >> let's talk about thing like facebook because these are things that we ourself post that we my not even realize

could cause problems down the road. of a got my privacy setting set so i think that no one can find me. i'm in the witness protection program. do those privacy setting work? >> the issue is the people would are your friends, you want to be judicious about that. people can copy the photos even if they are up only momentarily before you pull them down. if you don't like a photo, can you untag them. have a conversation with your kids. i spoke with some parents this week who said my gosh, my husband and i weren't daktly bathing suit ready and the kids are posting photos from spring break. they're killing us. that may be vanity more than reputation but it is an interesting example of you didn't need all your colleagues to see the swimsuit photos. so those kinds of things warrant a conversation an photos and video are tricky.

my graphic here the we have a frost advisory off to the south and west. here is what happens. this is so typical. if you are west of washington, you are going to need to wait a little bit longer than if you are east of washington. east of washington, the temperatures closer to the water have a moderating influence. so average last frost in washington, i'm going to pick a date of april 15th. you've looked at a bunch of web sites an a bunch of expertise including the national climate data center and the general consensus is april 15th the last average 32-degree temperature in wash is april 2nd. but i'm going to sort of cut it down the middle here with april 15th because areas out to the west typically can see cooler conditions. the late it has ever been # # or below in washington, april 29, 18746789 so we can have bracing temperatures into late april imlooked up last year's data. march9th was the last freeze in
